How It Started
Garey began his pest control career in 1978, taking a job with a national firm. What started as a temporary position quickly evolved into a lifelong calling as he developed a deep mastery of structural inspections and termite management.
Recognizing the power of specialized detection, Garey pioneered K-9 termite inspections across the Atlanta area alongside his legendary inspection dog, "Timmy the Termite Dog." After completing thousands of residential inspections and serving several years conducting defense contract inspections on military base housing, Garey decided to plant firm roots close to home.
As Henry County began to grow, he founded Clark Pest Remedy in 1988 to provide honest, dependable local service.
Family Owned & Community Minded
As Henry County and McDonough expanded into one of the fastest-growing communities in the state, Garey remained deeply involved in local youth sports, coaching his three children through years of athletic leagues.
Today, Clark Pest Remedy is truly a family effort. Garey’s oldest son, Matthew - a state champion athlete from the 2005 AAAA Henry County High baseball team - has worked in the family business for over 12 years and serves as our Designated Certified Operator.
Garey’s wife, Melody, has managed accounting and office operations since day one, joined in the office by Matthew’s wife, Ashley.
